The Wörlitz Park is a large English styled landscape park to the north of the town of Wörlitz. It was set out from 1764 to 1810 by Prince Leopold III, who employed many renowned gardeners of the time. There are many interesting features within the park, from palaces to the large lake and waterways. Best seen are the Gotisches Haus Neo Classical palace, the Synagogue, the Rosen Island and the Amalien Island. The park is open from April to October and free to enter.
