The Wiesbaden Museum is located on Friedrich Ebert Allee. It houses a large collection of paintings which are on display. Amongst these are extensive works by Russian artists Alexej Jawlensky, who spent the last 20 years of his life in Wiesbaden, and was a member of the Der Blaue Reiter group of Expressionists. The museum also displays local historical information, and has a number of Roman and medieval artefacts on display which were excavated locally. There is an entrance fee to the museum. It is open most days.
