The main attraction in Weil am Rhein is the Vitra Design Museum. This is a museum which shows off many items of industrially produced furniture from the past two hundred years, as well as other design work examples. It is located in a fantastic building, which is an attraction in itself. It was built by Frank O. Gehry, who built the Guggenheim in Bilbao. Guided tours are available around this, and the associated factory buildings.
