The Müritz National Park contains Germany’s largest area of forest. It is situated in the Mecklenburg Lower Pomerania state in the north east of the country. The main attraction of the park is the Müritzsee lake. However, there are actually around a thousand lakes in the park. Waren is located on the edge of the park. From here you can easily explore the walkways, country roads and forests on the town’s doorstep. The park is best seen in the Summer or Autumn.
