The Lottehaus in Wetzlar is a museum display items relating to Johann Wolfgang Goethe, and Charlotte Buff. Goethe came to work as an apprentice in the town in 1772, and fell in love with Buff, who was known as Lotte, who was engaged to one of his friends. This house is where Lotte lived, and has now been presented as a nice little museum with many rare artefacts of the writer’s life here on show.
