The Leuchtturm, or Lighthouse, in Warnemünde is a prominent feature on the town’s skyline, and now a popular attraction to tourists visiting the town. It was built in 1897, replacing a slightly older structure, at the mouth of the canal where the fishing fleet entered the harbour. The tower stands just over 36 metres high. A spiral staircase rises up the centre. Visitors can climb up here and take in magnificent views over the town and shoreline.
