At Würzburg’s former dock areas alongside the River Main are some old warehouses. One, the Kulturspeicher, is now restored and serves as an art gallery. The exhibitions here vary, with temporary themes and collections of art passing through. Most art is fairly modern, from the 19th century onwards. Works in the permanent exhibition include artists such as Leibl, Liebermann and Slevogt. A large part of the gallery is dedicated to showing Peter C. Rupert’s European Concrete art from 1945 to the present. The gallery is open most days.
