Johannes Kepler was born in Weil der Stadt in 1571 in a half timbered house on Keplergasse. He was one of Germany’s most famous astronomer’s and mathematicians. Today the house is the Kepler Museum which is dedicated to telling his story and showing a little bit about his life here in Weil der Stadt. There are many models, documents and writings made by Kepler on display. It is open most days throughout the year. Look out for the Kepler statue in the Market Place too.
