The Juliusspital in Würzburg is one of the city’s two former historic hospital buildings. It was founded in 1576 by Julius Echter, and upgraded in the 17th and 18th centuries. The hospital treated and housed many poor and ill citizens. Today it is still used for this purpose, having been upgraded internally. The building also houses a farm, nursery, gardens and winery. In the Rococo arcades of the building is a pharmacy dating from 1765 which has been restored perfectly.
