The Heimartmuseum in Warnemünde showcases the history of the seaside fishing town. It is set in an older fisherman’s cottage dating from 1767, and the museum was set up in 1933. The museum shows the development of the town from a fishing village into the busy tourist spot it is today. It also shows the building redecorated as it was when occupied by a fisherman, and the living conditions of the 19th century, with a kitchen, sleeping quarters and living room. There is a small entry fee.
