The Haus Hohe Pappeln is a former home of Henry van de Velde in the Weimar suburb of Ehringsdorf. The name means ‘House Under the Tall Poplars’. It is a curious building, which resembles the bottom of an upturned boat. The living area was in the upper part of the villa, with the ground set aside for exhibitions. These are temporary and change throughout the year. The house is open year-round and has a small entrance fee.
