The Russian Byzantine styled Russian Church, curiously named the Greek Chapel in Wiesbaden is located in a prime location atop a hill on the northern edge of the town. It was built in 1855, with five gilded onion domes atop. Inside are the tombs of the wife and child of Duke Adolf. It is decorated with marble. To reach the church, a funicular railway transports people to the top of the hill. The church is still in use by the Russian Orthodox community.
