Sindelfingen was once the hand weaving capital of Wurttemburg, with a boom in the 19th century. This museum is dedicated to telling that story and demonstrating the practice of hand weaving. It also shows the conditions under which weavers worked, and demonstrates how they also made a living from farming. There are looms, tools, different textiles and designs on display, as well as documents and plans. The museum also has hands-on exhibits, where visitors can learn to weave themselves.
