St. Patrokli church in Soest is the city’s Dom, or Cathedral. It is built in a Romanesque style, with a magnificent west façade and tower, and a slightly less interesting building. It was built largely in the 12th century and dominates Soest’s skyline. Inside are a number of 13th century murals in the north transept apse. There is also a museum open on Sunday afternoons with a number of religious and liturgical artefacts from the middle ages on display.
