St. Martin’s church in the Deutsche Weinstrasse region is a Romanesque church dating from the 16th to 18th centuries. Although not much remains of the original structure, it still continues to attract and surprise visitors by its beauty and location. The church is built of red sandstone, and has a beautiful interior worth seeing. It is perched on a hill overlooking the old town, which took its name.
