The wonderful church of St. Maria Magdalena in Tiefenbronn is a good reason to stop by this small town. It is a Gothic church built in the 14th century which is famous for the works of art it houses. Although relatively unassuming on the outside, inside you will find the building covered in murals from the 15th century, and illuminated by shimmering stained glass windows from 1370. The high altar displays the story of the Passion and the Nativity. There’s also an altar on which is a masterful painting of the patron saint by Lucas Moser from 1432.
