The museum is situated in the pedestrian zone on the Max-Josefs-Platz 4 in the city centre. The museum itself is housed in the 16th century memorial protected builings, the ‘Ellmaierhaus,’ which have been restored and renovated over the past 80 years. The 400 square meters of exhibition space give detain on a variety of ways of editing and processing wood. During the year the museum runs several different exhibitions, usually with a master-craftsman on hand to explain and demonstrate wood-working technique.
