The Middle Mosel Museum (Mittelmosel Museum) in Traben Trarbach is located in a Baroque villa in the town, on the Trarbach side of the river. It was once the home to a merchant family, who had Goethe as a guest, but today houses this museum of history and art. There are various objects of art from 300 years spread over the 20 rooms of the museum. These include old pictures of Traben Trarbach. There are also Roman and Frankish finds on display, and a maquette of Schloss Gravenburg before it was destroyed.
