In the centre of Sindelfingen is the old market square which is the main focus of the old town. Here a lot of old buildings line the square, and there are plenty of opportunities to eating and drinking, as well as shopping. On the market square are two fountains. The Market Fountain dates from around 1544. Since 1927 the statue of the “Gabbling Women” has been situated on it. The other is the Friendship Fountain which was designed by Professor Stirnberg and is made entirely of bronze, and built in honour of Sindelfingen’s twin towns.
