The Kurfürstliches Palais in Trier is a large Rococo palace – one of the most magnificent examples in the world. It was built in its current form between 1756 and 1762 by Johannes Seiz as the home of Archbishop Johann Philipp von Walderdorff. It has had many guises over the years. Most notable features are the sculptures of mythological figures and angels. The palace sits in well laid out gardens, including a mini garden and mother-and-child area. Sadly the interior can not be visited as the palace now serves as an administration centre for Trier.
