The Dreifaltigkeitskirche is the main Protestant church in Speyer, built in a Baroque style between 1701 and 1717. The building is considered an architectural masterpiece and is well worth seeing, and the only preserved example of its kind in the area. Inside all of the décor and furnishings originate from the time of the church’s construction. The altar is particularly ornamental and noteworthy, as is the wood panelling around the interior. Services are still held regularly, with a large congregation attending.
