The Abenteuermuseum is located on the top floor of Saarbrücken’s Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) on the Schlossplatz square. It covers the lives and cultures of so-called primitive peoples. It was set up by Heinz Rox-Schulz, who travelled around the world discovering these remote tribes and cultures. His collections of items are on display here, including a Peruvian mummy which is 2000 years old. His life and works are also on display. The museum is open most days of the week for a small entrance fee.
