The Wilhelmsbau is a part of Marburg’s Ladgraves Castle (Landgrafenschloss). This part was built between 1492-8. Today it is fully restored and houses a museum of art – in particular sacral and religious art. It has an exhibition on the debate between Luther, Zwingli, and Melanchthon in the town, which went on to form the Creed of Augsburg. The museum is open most days for a small entrance fee.
