The University Museum (Universitätsmuseum für Bilende Kunst) in Marburg is an impressive art collection, housed in the town’s old university building. There are around 1500 paintings on display, mainly from the 19th to 20th centuries, and largely by German artists. There are various rooms for the exhibition. Visitors can expect to pay a small admission fee to the museum, which is open most days of the week, year-round.
