One of the four main gateway towers on Neubrandenburg’s Stadtmauer walls is the Treptower Tor. It is located on the western side of the old town (Altstadt). Today the tower houses a small museum of archaeology. This displays items of historic interest from Neubrandenburg’s past, including items from former buildings in the town, and from earlier times. There is a small entrance fee. The museum is open most days.
