Just off Martinikirchhof square in Minden is St. Martin’s Protestant parish church (Martinikirche). It is a mixture of varying styles inside, with a Renaissance pulpit and font, and Gothic altar. The Baroque grand organ, dating to the 16th century, is also worth seeing. Services are still held in this church, which dates originally to the 14th century, although restoration and expansions were carried out over the years. Just behind the church is the Windloch – the oldest house in Minden.
