Prien’s Regional Museum (Heimatmuseum) is a small museum set in an old farmhouse in this popular town alongside lake Chiemsee. The house is set out much as it was in when built in the 1800s, with original furniture and items. Whilst giving a good impression of life in a farmer’s cottage 200 years ago, rooms are also set out with exhibitions of folklore and general life from this rural area in the past. The museum is open most days and charges a small entrance fee.
