Prien is the main resort town on the beautiful Chiemsee lake in Bavaria. It is a perfect place to stay whilst visiting the lake, and offers great opportunities for enjoying nature. The backdrop is magnificent, with the Alps surrounding. In the town are various hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops. Most companies offering watersports and outdoors opportunities can also be found here. A narrow gauge railway links Prien with the lakeside village of Stock, using old steam engines over a hundred years old.
