The Mineralogy Museum (Mineralogisches Museum) in Marburg is an interesting exhibition run by the city’s university. It is located in a former bakery dating from 1515. Inside, the city’s collection of minerals and precious stones is on display over three floors, covering an impressive amount of items. In fact, only 2,300 of the collection’s 55,000 items are on display, but this often changes, offering a variety of exhibitions. This is a smart and impressive museum, which also acts as a research institute. It is open most days.
