The Mindener Museum is located in the old town part of Minden, set in five converted Weser Renaissance mansions. The museum tells the history, folklore and stories of Minden through exhibits, displays, archaeological finds, documentary evidence, photographs and artwork. It has a sculpture area in two courtyards, with pieces formerly adorning buildings in the town. There is also an exhibition dedicated to the Battle of Minden during the Seven Years’ War in the upstairs part of the museum. Open most days, with a small entry fee.
