Paderborn’s City History Museum is located in the wonderful Adam and Eve House close to the city centre. This half-timbered building is the oldest remaining house of its type in the city. The museum opened here in 1977 to display artefacts such as documents, furniture, household items, antiques, and paintings which tell the history of Paderborn and its folklore and residents. It also covers the founding of the city by Charlemagne, and the rebuilding efforts undertaken after World War 2.
