The Alte Münze in Minden is the former house of the master of the mint. It is one of Minden’s oldest buildings, built in a Romanesque civil architectural style, and later added to with a stepped Gothic gable and Renaissance oriel window. The building adds to the character of the area, and is a popular sight in the old town. Today it is operated as a Greek restaurant, allowing visitors to get a closer look inside.
