The Allianz Arena near Munich is the new 66,000 seater stadium that was built for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and is home to the two main teams of the area – FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 München. The stadium took less than three years to build and is so futuristic that it can change colour to match whichever of the two teams is playing on any particular day. Watching a football game live is a great experience in this stadium, however if you visit when a match is not on, you can take a 75 minute tour of the stadium to see all the important areas and hear how it was built.
