St. Jakob’s Church is one of Köthen’s three main churches in the centre of town. This Gothic building is the oldest of the three, and by far the largest. It can be found on the central Market Place and dominates the town’s skyline. Inside the church you will see many examples of the Calvinist past which took over the town in the décor of the building. There are many Gothic furnishings, and regular services are still held. Visitors are welcome to come in and look around.
