St. Florin Church (Florinskirche) is situated on Florinsmarkt in Koblenz. It was built from the remains of the chapel located in the neighbouring Frankish royal court between the 12th and 14th centuries. It is a Romanesque church with a triple naved, pillared interior. In 1688 it was partially destroyed during the Palatinate War of Succession, but rebuilt in 1711. St. Florin’s became a Protestant church in 1818. It is a well-known landmark in Koblenz, due to its two towers rising above the surrounding rooftops, and a wonderful place of peace to visit.
