Korbach’s City Museum (Stadtisches Museum) is located in the centre of the town on Kirchplatz. It is housed in one of the four original 14th century warehouses restored in the town. The museum opened in 1924, telling the story of the town and covering the history of the buildings it is located in. Various photographs, paintings, documents and household items show the town in different ages. There is a fireplace from 1604 in place. The museum houses temporary exhibitions throughout the year. There is a small entrance fee.
