The Koblenz Landesmuseum, or regional museum, is located in the impressive Festung Ehrenbreitstein fortress across the Rhine from central Koblenz. The museum makes use of the historical surroundings to tell of the town’s past. It also covers the roles of the army and military here, and the industries of the area – such as wine making and the building industries. Naturally, exhibits on local archaeology and the history of the fortress are prominent, also. The museum charges a small entrance fee. It offers the best views in Koblenz.
