Germany’s most modern brewery is situated in the centre of Jever. The Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever produces its famous Pils, which is said to be the bitterest beer produced in Germany. It also produces a range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on the site. Visitors to the brewery can take a guided tour which takes in the production line and the museum, and receive a free sample drink. Tours must be booked in advance.
