St. Leonhards Church (Leonhardskirche) is a Gothic and Romanesque building located close to the River Main in Frankfurt’s centre, which has been very well preserved despite some damage in World War 2. It was built gradually between the 13th and 15th centuries, and has a five-naved hall and elongated choir. Inside, the crafted St. Mary’s altar dates from 1515, and a Hans Holbein copy of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper from 1501 make it worth a look.
