The highlight of the small town of Elisabethfehn is the Moor and Fen Museum (Moor und Fehn Museum). This is a museum dedicated to the extraction of peat from the local moors and bogs. On display is the world’s largest plough. The museum also tells the story of the local beer known as Jever. The museum covers a 1.5 hectar site and includes some historic buildings and machinery. It is open most days of the week between April and October. There is an entrance fee.
