The Lückingsches Haus in Hameln is situated on Wendenstrasse. It is considered the best example of the 17th century revival of half timbering buildings. It was built in 1638 as a house for a wealthy family. It is considered highly because of the extensive carvings in the timber on its exterior, which are very ornate. The inscription over the entrance is from Psalm 127 in the Bible. The building is privately owned and not open to the public.
