The Kurie Jerusalem is one of the more interesting buildings on the Alte Marktstrasse. It is a half timbered store building which was built around 1500. It had lain derelict for many years, and then restored to life again. Today it is used as a play centre for kids. It welcomes people (including tourists) who want to leave their children in safe hands while they do some sightseeing or shopping in Hameln.
