Map

The Krameramtswohungen in Hamburg is an area of the old town which has survived the decades and damages of war. It comprises an area of half-timbered houses and a quaint courtyard, dating from the 17th century, which were built by the merchants’ guild to house the widows of shopkeepers. Visitors today will find the buildings occupied by souvenir shops and cafes, but still as attractive a piece of history that the city has to offer.
