Feldstrasse, Abtei, Hermeskeil 54411 - Germany

Map
The Hermeskeil Air Museum is a great place for the aviation enthusiast. You can find it a couple of miles outside the town on the road to Koblenz. The museum was set up by Leo Junior in 1973. It is Europe’s largest private aviation museum. There are over 100 aeroplanes and helicopters, as well as a collection of over 60 aircraft engines. Amongst the most notable aircraft in residence are a De Havilland Comet and Vickers VC-10 – both classsic jet airliners. There are also plenty of military jets, such as the BAe Harrier and MIG 21.
