The German Architecture Musem (Deutsches Architekturmuseum) on the Schaumainkai Museum Sufer area of Frankfurt’s south bank is one of the more interesting museums in the area. It was opened in 1984 in the avant-garde building designed by Oswald Mathias Ungers. The museum displays many exhibits on German architectural developments, particularly from the 20th century onwards. It often houses touring and temporary exhibits on particular themes, and a schedule can be found by visiting. Guided tours are available at weekends.
