Frankfurt’s Dreikönigskirche is dedicated to the Three Kings, or Magi. It is a Protestant church, built on the southern embankment of the River Main (technically in Sachsenhausen), opposite the Catholic Dom cathedral. The towering Neo-Gothic church was built in 1880 on the site of an older Protestant church dating from 1340. A medieval pump outside the church, decorated with a statue of the Magi, is all that remains of the older church.
