The City Park, or Stadtpark, in Hannover is where the first Federal Garden Exhibition was held in 1951. The park contains all manner of plants and shrubbery to this day, and is a favourite recreation spot for locals and visitors alike. Features which you can wander round include the Japanese Tea Garden and the Rose Garden. You can also enjoy refreshments at the Rose Café, which often puts on concerts at weekends during the summer. Entrance to the park is free.
