The Cap San Diego is one of the moored ships in Hamburg Harbour which serve as floating museums. This particular ship served in the 1960s as a freighter, carrying cargo far and wide from the city. Today visitors can come aboard and explore to their hearts content. Former sailors’ living quarters and work areas are set up as they would have been when the ship was in service. There are also plenty of descriptive items telling how the ship worked and what its purpose was.
