Burg Hohenneufen is a large ruinous castle in the Swabian Jura of Germany. It dominates the small town of Neuffen, and is situated on a rocky outcrop with great views. The castle was first mentioned in the 1100s, and is known to have passed through many hands over the years. It was unsuccessfully besieged in 1634. Its downfall came about in the 19th century, although it played a small roll in World War 2. Today there is a restaurant based in the building, and tours are available to look around the castle.
