Hamburg’s Finkenwerder airfield in the southern suburbs is used by Airbus as a manufacturing site for many of its airliners. This is a secondary factory to the main site at Toulouse, France. Aircraft enthusiasts come to this airfield by the droves to take a tour of the final assembly facility, where they can see aircraft in the final stages of manufacture. You may also see some of the new aircraft being test-flown. Tours are available throughout the year, but must be booked through their website or by telephone.
